watercolour on 100% rag paper 8 x 10 inches (15 x 17 in. framed) Private Collection

This church is just down the road from home in Lower St. Mary's. I have admired its unique architectural features for many years. There are four wings that project out from the center so, that if viewed from above, they form a perfectly symmetrical cross with the steeple rising up from the middle. It was built over 170 years ago in 1848! Gravestones are dotted around three sides and the back, or river side. It gives me the most comforting peaceful feeling when I walk down there. I loved painting it.
