While driving home from my studio one evening recently, I passed by the old train bridge (now a walking bridge). This bridge in Fredericton, connects the north and south sides of the river and provides a scenic transportation route for pedestrians and cyclists. As I drove past it, I imagined a large Christmas tree perched on top in the middle of the bridge with pedestrians gazing up at it and the reflections in the dark water below. I started this watercolour painting the very next day. Hopefully some year my imagination will become a reality.
