"Old Canoe" rests and sags on an old rock property wall and is beginning to take the shape of the wall itself. The contrast with the canoe and the lush new grass, highlights the feeling of a fresh new spring season. “Old Canoe”, a watercolour painting, was painted as a preliminary to the large egg tempera piece, “Nesting”.
